I really enjoyed my time at the Hampton Inn in Allen Park. The staff greeted me warmly upon check-in. My room was super clean and spacious, and I loved the direct TV channels available. The complimentary breakfast offered a nice variety that kept me satisfied every morning. However, the mattress on the king bed sagged a lot at the edges, which made it uncomfortable. Luckily, the middle was still fine, so I managed okay. Water pressure in the shower was inconsistent. On my last morning, it barely trickled. I spent way too long rinsing out conditioner. Overall, I felt safe during my stay, but there's definitely room for improvement in the mattress and shower area.

It seems the moisture from nearby showers triggered a false alarm, which left us having to escape to the car for quiet. For a hotel that touts a security focus, it was concerning that the alarms weren't handled promptly. Also, the plumbing was questionable. the sink had a stubborn clog that wasn't fixed throughout our two-day stay. We brushed our teeth using a sink by the door instead. The bathroom's sliding barn door was a tough to maneuver, making privacy a challenge. Overall, it felt like little attention was given to maintenance for what should have been a basic family-friendly hotel.
